BOAT DEDICATION

Upon learning of Dressler's diagnosis, Joel Berger (class of '01) said, "Let's buy a boat in his name. We have to do something because of the impact he had on all of us." That idea gained a lot of support and soon that list of potential donors went from the class of "01 all the way through the Wisconsin men's rowing community. Enough money was raised to buy a brand new Empacher 8+, widely considered to be among the highest quality racing shells in the world. In May of '22, a surprise gathering was planned at the boathouse to dedicate the shell to UW in Dressler's name.  The "Doctor Dressler" will be raced as the top UW Men's 8+ shell for years to come.
