Boat Dedication

In the spring of 2022, the Wisconsin Men's Rowing community raised money to buy the preeminent racing shell, a brand new Empacher 8+. Lured to the boathouse under the pretense of a fishing trip, Dressler was instead surprised to find former teammates, athletes, and family all gathered for the boat dedicated in his honor to the UW varsity mens rowing team.

Dresslerfest

UW Mechanical Engineering hosted Dresslerfest, a special event lecture on April 26, 2022. After receiving his diagnosis, Dress had to "reevaluate just about everything in life: work balance, life goals, family, friends, adventures, bad drivers, and eBikes." Dress took the opportunity to share these new insights and observations with the ME department as well as his community of family and friends.

STAR Scholarship

The new Kris Dressler STAR Scholarship Fund is a Strategic Targeted Achievement Recognition (STAR) funding that will be awarded to exceptional engineering undergraduates beginning in fall 2022. Dressler is pictured here with the inaugural Dressler STAR scholarship recipient Jude Stephenson. Donations are being matched dollar for dollar by the Grainger Foundation.
